Arcade is a planned mini-series of documentaries meant to enter a subject matter already well-explored by others, but from a new angle: what about the places that arcades are? Why do we insist on going into rooms with machines, give them money, and have fun there? What role do machines fulfill as entertainment, and why do we put together arcades and the arcade experience in new and different ways?

Speaking with game programmers, arcade operators, emulators, pinball enthusiasts, academics and a whole range of players, ARCADE will attempt to bring into focus the unique aspects of Arcades, a place that sends you running towards them at the sound of their attract mode.
