An ambitious film in itself, TAPE is one of three documentaries being filmed by Jason Scott, after the success of his previous two works, BBS and GET LAMP. As indicated by the title, it is a comprehensive meditation on the medium of magnetic tape, including audio, video and data. Part eulogy, part mystery, and definitely about the entropy we fight as human beings, TAPE will touch as many parts of what this medium means and what all mediums mean in the story of human history.

Currently in the research phase, TAPE is expected to have many dozens of interviews with a wide variety of people, and result in a mini-series of episodes regarding this subject and its greater context. Interviews are expected to last into 2013.
